Arenal Volcano History Walk Details

This adventure takes place on the trails of the Arenal Volcano National Park.
Informative tour guides will lead you on along a 3-mile (5-km) trail that winds through secondary rain forest and leads to places to observe the volcano. Along the way you’ll observe a variety of plants, animals, and volcanic rock formations; you’ll also enjoy views of Lake Arenal.

During this guided walk, you’ll walk across three trails – Las Coladas, El Ceibo, and Lava 1992. Appropriately, you’ll see old lava flows and massive Ceibo trees. From viewing monkeys and toucans to photographing the picture-perfect volcano, you will be fully engaged as you enjoy your visit in the Arenal Volcano area.

What to Bring: Hiking shoes, insect repellent, camera, rain coat, sunscreen, light clothing.
